project 7
research and emulation
Ed Freeman captures a surfer in the heart of nature and the behavior of the ocean. Freeman sees the beauty with the danger that roars between each set of the waves. The photograph shows how powerful an action can be, one person takes off, down the pipe with no fear. I wanted my photograph to have the same feel, but without showing extreme danger. The light blue, grey of the waves show the simplicity of the ocean, with the black rocks portraying the mystery. Even as the dark clouds begin to settle the beauty of the ocean is still present. The ocean can give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of life, just by looking at its beauty.

bio`s
Ed freeman
“convey the spirit and feeling of surfing, rather than documenting any particular event”
Ed freeman is a fine art photographer focusing on exploring identity, architecture, underwater nudes, and figurative. He’s work shows the connection to humans and the peacefulness of water, and the simplicity of it.
Vanessa Marsh
Man made, natural and cosmological power through a mixed media process based in Photography. Marsh sees the beauty of nature, and it’s pureness that shows through with the color. I chose this photograph because “the landscape highlighted by soft glowing light. In the images, seen and unseen suns illuminate transparent layers of mountains and volcanoes creating dreamlike and atmospheric places”. I want to spend my life exploring dreamlike places, and this just reminds me.
A photographer and artist who makes work about human impact on the environment. The focus of Beltrá's recent work has been fine art aerial photography of landscapes and environmental issues. I chose this photographer because I strongly support any action towards having a cleaner ocean and environment.

Project #5 - Basic PS and Camera Controls
What is this project about?
In this project I learned about basic camera controls and basic photoshop. I learned how the different shutter speed of the camera can create different aspects to your photos, as well as camera aperture.
My favorite part of this project was creating different moods in my photographs from using frozen motion, Motion blur, deep depth of field and shallow depth of field.
